My approach as a GP centres around three key pillars – sharing knowledge, supporting individuals and communities, and enhancing overall well-being.
I have an open minded, collaborative approach to health care and my priority is to ensure every patient feels listened to and empowered to be in control of their own health. I recognise the inextricable link between our physical and mental health and ensure both are acknowledged and supported.
While I love all aspects of general practice, I have a particular interest in preventative healthcare, children’s health, women’s health and mental health.
Growing up in rural and regional Australia, I experienced first hand the challenges many people have when it comes to accessing health care. It is this lack of access that drove me to become a GP and is why I continue to have a passion for promoting healthcare in rural Australia.
I also work within the media as a health commentator to promote access to accurate and reliable health information for all Australians.
Outside of work I love to relax and unwind by cooking, yoga or a long walk with my two babies (one being of the 4 legged and furry variety!).
