I have been working in General Practice for over twenty years, initially learning skills as Practice Management, then to see the infancy of Practice Nursing on the Northern Beaches.
I completed my nursing training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, then going on to complete a post graduate Thoracic course at Royal North Shore Hospital. I worked in the hospital setting for many years culminating in the position of Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) at Mona Vale Hospital prior to commencing my family.
I have worked at the Mona Vale Medical Practice since its’ inception in 2005 and reskilled as a Practice Nurse through The College of Nursing (APNA), the Manly Warringah Division of General Practice which has evolved into the Sydney North Primary Health Network.
I am very interested in Preventative Health, Chronic Disease Management and Travel Medicine. I have witnessed the development of Practice Nursing over the years and the importance of being a team member for maximizing the best outcomes for patients.
I feel extremely fortunate to work with the general practitioners in the practice who share their expertise in a family friendly caring environment.
